I started training with Howard in September.
He listened carefully to my needs and worked out programmes that have really shown results in strengthening my upper body and core, and improving my general fitness.
He is encouraging, patient and creative, and brings a sense of humour to our weekly sessions. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

I am 50 years old and had fitness as a major part of my life. Howard is the best trainer I have met. He knows his stuff and exactly how hard to push you with results that are so rewarding.
Howard also trains my 16 year son who plays rugby for Saracens and he has made such a difference to his strength, speed and fitness. If you want to get or keep fit then you should meet Howard.
He’s also a top bloke and thoroughly entertaining.

When training with Howard, I think I get 200% more benefit out of my hour of exercise than when I am left to my own devices in the gym or running. I have trained with a PT before and know the benefits are indisputable. Being made to focus on the quality of the exercise you are doing, being pushed beyond what you thought you could do and, most importantly, not being able to dodge the session just because you are not in the mood or ‘too busy.’
But also, Howard is excellent at buiding a programme around what you think you need, and what he knows you need, so I never feel bullied into doing things but, at the same time, I do activities I wouldn’t choose to do if I were on my own. (I mean, who actually likes ‘walking lunges!?).
For me, personal training with Howard is time efficient and and cost efficient (much better results gained more quickly than going to the gym) but, most of all, Howard makes it far more enjoyable than it really should be. We always seem to have time for a laugh as the sweat pours down my face!

I chose to find a personal trainer rather than continue with my gym membership, because I needed someone to work with me on a specific programme that took account of myneeds, but primarily, for the motivation of having someone to push me.
I run my own business and it can be stressful, so forcing myself out of work mode and into training with Howard is always a smart move because I always feel better afterwards, and, as I hurtle towards 50, these things become ever more important.
There are heaps of PT’s out there so finding the right one is a challenge. But there has to be chemistry between PT and client, empathy, and an ability to ‘read’ the mood and help define the goals of the client. Howard is a good instructor – his sessions are varied, and challenging but he doesn’t try to kill you. But he is more than in instruction manual; he is a good motivator and is intuitive about people’s moods and motivations, which is great. I have recommended him to a couple of my contracts and have no qualms about doing so again.

I would like to thank Howard for helping me to reach my goal of getting in shape for my wedding. He listened to what I wanted to achieve in terms of getting in shape and losing weight and put together a programme which not only included cardiovascular work but also weight training. The boxing was especially good.
Each week he pushed me more but within my limits. This was the motivation that I needed to keep me going. Even after an old injury flared up he adjusted the programme as necessary.
The extra encouragement came when people noticed the difference and told me. All his training, along with the healthy eating plan I undertook helped me to get where I wanted to be so a big thank you to him.

I have been going to the gym for some time now and have definitely got into a routine that I knew wasn’t stretching me, nor was I sure I was doing exercises correctly.
I was looking forward to my session with you, albeit with some trepidation as I hadn’t managed to get to the gym for quite a few weeks before I saw you.
I was completely blown away by your professionalism, coupled with a huge heart and sense of humour. You are a shining example of what regular exercise can do for someone, you are always bursting with energy and enthusiasm.
I thoroughly enjoyed my session with you and felt re-energised to hit the gym again with more gusto and energy! I was amazed I could do the step work and still have a conversation with you!
I have always been rather sceptical of Personal Trainers, and felt that they couldn’t really add much to my routine. How wrong I was – and I am delighted to be proved wrong by someone as professional as you.
I have absolutely no reservation in recommending you to everyone.
